JPS performs the required quality control surveys on all types of diagnostic x-ray equipment including: radiographic, fluoroscopic, CT. digital radiographic and dental. JPS has assisted many clients with the accreditation of CT and MRI units for ACR and ICACTL.
JPS is board certified and approved by the FDA to provide annual medical physics surveys on mammography units, meeting all MQSA requirements. JPS is up to date with continuing education credits required by the FDA in both conventional and digital mammography, and currently provides annual mammography surveys for over 30 different sites in Nebraska and Kansas.
JPS is qualified to perform a variety of services in radiation therapy. Experience includes calibration and quality assurance testing on Varian and Siemens linear accelerators, Eclipse treatment planning system, Aria information system, IMRT, IGRT, Portal Dosimetry & Cone beam CT. JPS has participated in well over 150 Cyberknife Radiosurgery Procedures, 250 Lexsell Gamma Knife procedures, as well as many years of experience using high dose brachytherapy, low dose rate brachytherapy, using Cs-137 and Ir-192 sources, Iodine-125 prostate seed implants, and several hundred cases of Iodine-131 therapy for hyperthyroidism and thyroid cancer.
Leo Jablonski is the Radiation Safety Officer for four facilities in the Nebraska area. Experience as a state regulator and as a university health physicist has resulted in a broad base of knowledge in both Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and State radiation regulations.
Shielding design and surveys have been provided for many clients for both diagnostic and therapeutic facilities. From simpler dental x-ray facilities to complicated radiation therapy vaults, JPS is qualified to provide accurate shielding requirements for your facility. Surveys are also done to verify existing shielding for those facilities that don't have the documentation necessary for state inspectors.
JPS provides radiation safety training required for hospital and clinic employees who work with radioactive materials or radiation emitting devices. The training can be specifically tailored to any department—cardiac cath, radiology, nuclear medicine, radiation therapy, surgery, and even housekeeping and maintenance personnel. Training can be provided in person or via CD. JPS can aid you in the creation of a Radiation Safety Manual and Policies and Procedures manual for your facility if one does not exist.
If you use radioactive materials, we can prepare your license application and amendments to the state or NRC. JPS has over 20 years of experience in this area.
JPS is qualified to take care of your nuclear medicine quality assurance needs. We perform quarterly audits, quarterly dose calibrator testing and annual survey reports required for ACR accreditation.
